You can find same games from the POV of a (from what I can tell) a very experienced player, here. It's on sale on steam right now in case you don't own it yet definitely well worth the money. Not to mention that the community is still working on it to this day. A lot of people think 3 is the best version that there is, but I much prefer the 3D graphics in V (though it's definitely dated and pales in comparison to VII) and how the gameplay is more streamlined (troop kill tooltips, built-in tactics phase from the get-go, action order indicator, and the list goes on). In my personal opinion, Heroes V with the community mod dubbed 'Heroes 5.5' is the best experience. The troop variety is also not superb, but serviceable. So it would often just run into me cluelessly, die horribly and be incredibly weak from there on. The game's algorithm for determining the relative strength of different stacks is horrendous, and the AI's decision making seems to be based on that. The AI, on the other hand, is a different story. Can't say there aren't more, of course, and I never played multiplayer. The bugs are mostly visual, I have only ever encountered a game-breaking bug once (random stacks of units disappearing upon start of combat tactics phase only ever happened during creeping, so no real impact). I've only played it with UCP, normal games vs.
